Diagnostic Testing
At Somnus Sleep Center we use the latest diagnostic testing technologies and equipment to test for a myriad of sleep disorders. Studies are conducted by one of our certified and highly trained and friendly sleep technicians. Diagnostic testing capabilities include:
- Complete polysomnographic study (PSG): This test evaluate the movement of your eyes & muscles, brain activity, heart rate and rhythm, oxygen levels in the blood, your breathing effort and airflow through the mouth and nose in addition to snoring and chest movement. In cases where sleep apnea has been discovered a “split night” PSG is conducted to monitor sleep with a special device (CPAP) that helps breathing during the second half of the evening.
- Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
- Maintenance Wakefulness Test (MWT)
- Titration of Constant Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP TIT)
